Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 June 2026
This policy explains how we collect, use, hold, disclose and protect your personal information when you use workbotic.studio or engage our services. We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
1. About us
This website, workbotic.studio, is operated by Workbotic, a trading name of Ascent Dev Pty Ltd (in this policy, Workbotic, we, us, our), a company based in Victoria, Australia. Workbotic operates a range of products and services; workbotic.studio is our website design and redesign-preview service for small businesses.
2. Information we collect
We only collect personal information that we reasonably need to provide our services. This includes:
- Preview requests: the website address you submit and your email address.
- Enquiries: your name, email address and the contents of any message you send us through our contact form or by email.
- Project information: if you engage us for paid work, the brand materials, content, account access and other details you provide for the project.
- Technical information: collected automatically when you visit the site, such as your IP address, approximate location (country), browser type and the pages you view. This is used for security, anti-spam and aggregate analytics.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive information (such as health, racial or political information), and we ask that you do not send it to us.
3. How we collect your information
We collect personal information directly from you when you submit a form, email us, or work with us on a project. We also collect technical information automatically through our hosting and security providers when you browse the site.
4. Why we collect, hold, use and disclose your information
We use your personal information to:
- prepare and send your redesign preview;
- respond to your enquiries and communicate with you about our services;
- provide, quote for and deliver paid design and development work;
- protect the site from spam and abuse (for example, through Cloudflare Turnstile);
- understand, in aggregate, how the site is used so we can improve it; and
- meet our legal and record-keeping obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing without your consent.
5. Disclosure to third parties
We use trusted service providers to operate our business. These may have access to personal information only to perform services for us, and are required to protect it:
- Cloudflare for website hosting, database storage, anti-spam (Turnstile) and email delivery.
- Google (Google Analytics) for website usage analytics.
We may also disclose personal information where required or authorised by law.
6. Overseas disclosure
Our infrastructure provider, Cloudflare, operates a global network, and Google Analytics is operated by Google. As a result, your information may be stored or processed on servers located outside Australia, including in the United States. Where we disclose personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
7. Data security
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. This includes encryption of data in transit, access controls, and storing data with a reputable infrastructure provider. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to respond promptly if an issue arises.
8. Data retention
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. Preview requests and enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are retained for a reasonable period and then deleted. Records relating to paid projects are kept for as long as needed for business, tax and legal purposes.
9. Cookies and analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how visitors find and use the site. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects usage information such as the pages you view, your approximate location, and your device and browser type, and this information is processed by Google and may be stored overseas. We ask for your consent before any analytics cookies are set, using Google Consent Mode: analytics cookies stay off until you choose Accept, and you can change your choice at any time through the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. Cloudflare Turnstile may also set a short-lived token to tell humans from bots when you submit a form, which is necessary for the form to work.
10. Access and correction
You may ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. Contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time, and we may need to verify your identity first. If we cannot give you access, we will explain why.
11. Complaints
If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. We will acknowledge your complaint and respond within a reasonable time. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page, with the date it was last updated shown at the top.
